2nth.me is a gym for human skills. You don't read about difficult conversations here — you have them, against an AI sparring partner that plays the other person realistically, then coaches you on how you did.
Each card is a situation you might face in real life — a salary negotiation, a defensive teammate, a client who blames you. Or describe a real conversation you're facing this week in the "Bring your own scenario" box and rehearse that instead.
You'll see the situation, your goal, and the three dimensions you'll be scored on. The other person speaks first. From that moment, the AI is that person.
Type what you would actually say, in your own words. The counterpart reacts to how you handle them: push too hard and they get defensive, listen well and they open up. Each has motives they won't volunteer — skilful conversation uncovers them. You get up to 12 turns.
After at least 3 exchanges, hit "End & Get Feedback". The AI drops the act and becomes your coach: a score of 0–4 on each dimension with your own lines quoted as evidence, one thing worth repeating, one growth edge, and a summary.
Every debrief ends with one small, concrete drill to try in a real conversation this week. That's where the skill actually grows — the dojo is the gym, life is the arena.
Every skill has a rubric with three dimensions (shown under each skill's name, e.g. Negotiation is scored on Framing & anchoring, Interests & trades, Composure under pressure). Each dimension is scored 0–4:
Score well (average 3+) and your demonstrated level for that skill rises — one level at a time, never by claiming. Your profile radar shows both: the dashed outline is what you claim in self-assessment; the filled shape is what you've demonstrated in scored practice. The gap between them is your training plan.
The pips on each card show difficulty: one pip is a straightforward counterpart, three pips means layered agendas and real emotional depth.
Sessions cost 10 tokens and refund 5 when you complete one — so a finished session costs 5 net. You start with 100. Levelling up a skill earns 5–30 tokens per level. There's a limit of 5 sessions a day — human skills grow with rest between reps, not binges.
Your practice conversations are never stored. The transcript exists only for the moments needed to generate your debrief, then it's gone — only the scores and feedback summary are saved to your profile. Rehearse the awkward, the sensitive, the career-defining. Nobody's reading.
